Fiat Account

The Fiat wallet is the part of your Wallet that supports everything related to fiat payments and fiat-based purchase flows. It is designed for users who want to enter the crypto ecosystem using local currency without placing orders in an order book.

Unlike Spot or Futures, the Fiat wallet is not mainly about trading charts or matching bids/asks. Instead, it focuses on a smooth payment workflow:

  • You choose what asset you want to buy (for example: OZ / sCNH / sUSD)
  • You enter how much fiat you want to spend (for example: CNY)
  • You choose a payment method (Alipay / UnionPay / eCNH Payment, etc.)
  • You complete the payment
  • You track the order status until the asset is delivered

What the Fiat wallet is used for​

The Fiat wallet is commonly used for:

  • Buying crypto with fiat through a simple “enter amount and pay” process
  • Managing payment-based transactions - Tracking order history for fiat purchases and seeing clear statuses
  • Supporting flows that rely on fiat payments, including:
    • FiatFlash purchases (instant buy)
    • P2P trading payments (when users pay each other using fiat methods)

This means the Fiat wallet is closely connected to how users pay in the ecosystem, even when the crypto delivery happens in a different wallet (like Spot).

How fiat purchase works (step-by-step)​

Step 1: Enter purchase details​

You choose:

  • Fiat currency (what you pay with, e.g., CNY)
  • Asset (what you receive, e.g., OZ)
  • Amount (how much you want to spend)

The system then calculates:

  • How much you will Receive
  • The Price per asset
  • Any purchase-related conditions (if shown)

Step 2: Review quote and proceed​

Before payment, you see:

  • The asset you are about to purchase
  • The amount you pay and the amount you receive
  • The quoted price used for the calculation
  • The available payment methods

Quotes may change over time, so you should always review the latest quote before paying.

Step 3: Complete payment​

After proceeding, you will be directed to the payment page or shown payment instructions. Once you complete the payment, the order will update as the system receives confirmation from the payment provider.

Because fiat payments often rely on third-party providers, the order status may not update instantly. That is why order tracking is a major part of the Fiat wallet.

Step 4: Track order status in Order History​

After you pay (or if you leave the payment page), you can always return to the Fiat wallet and open Order History to see:

  • Your recent orders
  • Current status
  • Payment method used
  • Date/time and amounts
  • A “Check status” action (if available)

P2P payments and Fiat wallet (important relationship)​

P2P trading can be done through the Fiat wallet because P2P requires fiat payment methods to complete trades between users.

In P2P:

  • Fiat wallet/payment methods are used for the payment part
  • Crypto delivery is handled through the platform’s escrow and crypto wallets
    So the Fiat wallet supports the payment workflow, while the crypto release happens after payment confirmation.

This is why P2P users often need:

  • Correct payment method setup
  • Clear payment status tracking
  • Proof of payment (if disputes happen)

Common user issues and guidance​

“I paid but the order is still Unpaid”​

Possible reasons:

  • Payment was not completed on the official payment page
  • Provider confirmation has not arrived yet
  • Payment was made outside the linked session/order

Recommended action:

  • Go to Order History and use Check status
  • Refresh and wait briefly
  • If it still does not update, contact support with order time and method

“Why does the receive amount show 0?”​

This usually happens when:

  • The fiat amount is not entered
  • The asset is not selected
  • The quote is not loaded yet
  • The order is in a draft state before confirmation

“Why do I have many Unpaid orders?”​

This happens when the user repeats the flow without completing payment. The best practice is to complete one payment at a time and track status in order history.

Safety notes​

  • Do not share passwords, verification codes, or private keys during fiat payments.
  • Always verify you are on the correct payment page before completing payment.
  • If anything looks suspicious or inconsistent, stop and contact support.
  • Keep transaction records (order time, status, method) when reporting payment issues.
